Grouping 2
Grouping 3
Grouping 4
As I said in my previous post, my husband is going back to the framer tomorrow to make some final decisions, at least for the two first groupings (1 & 2).
As I said in my previous post, my husband is going back to the framer tomorrow to make some final decisions, at least for the two first groupings (1 & 2).
.
So far we have decided to put in each frame 3 Dodecagon ornaments in a vertical way (I took the photo horizontally as it was easier for me to do so). I am thinking of having them put in that order though, meaning the middle one will stay in that position and the other two will either be above or below it.
.
.
We are thinking of picking up the same frames and mats for the first two groupings and then different frames and mats for the two last groupings. This way I can put two framed groupings side by side and they will be the same as far as frames and mats are concerned, but the other two will be different from the first two.
.
If I had wanted all to be similar then I would have had to make lots of compromises as far as colors are concerned and what looks good for the first two groupings may not necessarily look as good for the second two groupings.
.
Putting all of them in a frame also severely diminished my options and after looking at them all more attentively, I am really not sure that I want to go that way.
.
I have lots of rooms so it should not be difficult to find a good place for each similar set of groupings.
.
If anyone has any ideas about all this, now is the time to speak because after sometimes tomorrow it will be too late. I must have seen too many weddings in movies (grinning).
.
So that is the plan so far. Things may change ....................

Decisions, decisions, decisions I am so glad its you and not me that has to make this difficult choice ROFL
What a hard task. I'd be tempted to swap some around, but every time I try it I end up with at least one looking out of place :lol
Terry, you chicken (big big grin)

Hi Amanda :-)
That is exactly why it is so difficult as there are so many different colors.

I think that you have done a great job making this decision!!
Thanks, Pat :-)

It sounds like a good plan to me. What we are really interested in is how easy it will be to mail the framed pieces out as we all want to give them some house room for a week or so!
Did I just say that?
Jane, blushing in CH
Oh Jane, quite easy, no problem at all. We can have an armoured delivery truck come to my home, pick them up and bring them to your house and then you can keep them for a couple of weeks provided you first dust them every single day, you make a few bows in front of them each time you walk by and of course that you get lots of insurance just in case Pat from NC sneaks in your home during the night and """borrows""" them without telling you first about it.
Is that a good plan or what? (grinning from ear to ear)

Number 3 is the nicest one!
Number 3 is certainly a good choice as all three of them are really really special :-)

Ok, Pierette, we have a deal. I can do the dusting and bowing part and the dogs will keep an eye out for the cat burglar Pat trying to sneak them away. And of course I can't wait to see the neighbors' reactions when the Brink's truck stops and asks them where our house is....
Jane, waving from CH
OK, Jane, we have a deal then, and please don't forget to maintain museum environment temperature for them at all times, between 68 and 72 degrees (big grin)
Oh I do wish I could see you bow in front of them each time you walk by them (lol)
I may decide to make an impromptu visit just to see all this with my own eyes :-)

But when will they visit me in Illinios? They are so beautiful! You did an excellent job.
Beth,
I guess we need to start a "visitation" list :-)
