Angelina: An Ilse Altherr design

I am doing a little "happy dance" here today as I have just finished stitching Angelina. Some of you have asked me who the designer is for this lovely blackwork project and it is Ilse Altherr. I love her blackwork designs. I have a few others in my stash that one of these days I will have the time to stitch, at least I hope so (grinning).
.
I now have a long long list of projects to work on, but I think that I will start working on Hollyhock House stitch-along. We have had a few lessons so far and I have not yet started working on it, not even put the fabric on stretcher bars :-(
.
I also need to take one of my stitched project and work on doing a bit of finishing. Angelina is going to the framer so at least she is not adding to my finishing pile. When I think of the times when I was completely up-to-date with my finishing. Times do change, don't they?
.
Now need to clean up a bit around myself, put my supplies away and take out what I need for the next project.
.
It is a nice day today, so will now go out and take a bit of sunshine. That will do me a world of good.
.

Very charming, Pierrette. Your chosen colors are perfect; the stitches, though intricate, are not busy, and create a very effective design. Anxious to see it framed.

Looks lovely. About how many hours do you stitch a day?

Pierrette,

Enchanted me his work is simply wonderful. What kind of fabric used for the Blackwork? I wonder where I can find a pattern to be done so beautiful Angelina.
Congratulations on wonderful work.

Hi Terry,

I find that blackwork is relatively quick to stitch compared to other techniques, perhaps it is because I enjoy it a lot.

Frontrange Stitcher.

Thanks. All the instructions were there and I just followed them. I don't think that I am that good at picking up the right stitches. Could be lack of practice, but ......

Beth,

How many hours do I stitch in a day? That is a difficult question for me to answer as it really depends on how good or how poorly I am feeling that day. It can be as little as one hour and as many as 4 or 5 hours, but lately I have not done much stitching :-(

Cyn,

I know how it is when you don't read blogs for a little while. My list of blogs that I follow is quite extensive and whenever I get behind it takes me a while to catch up too :-)
