Persian Fantasy: Area 3

This morning I went back to Jane D. Zimmerman's current cyberclass class called Persian Fantasy that I am taking through the Shining Needle Society after not stitching on it at all for approximaely three weeks due to working exclusively on my pilot class. During that time Jane gave us two assignments which includes four different areas. The photo above shows area 3 which repeats itself in every corner.

This photo above shows you one side of the area 3 design. You can also see areas 1 & 2 on each side.
.
If you feel like refreshing your memory about this project, you may go to my first blog entry and then continue on to my second blog entry and you will be all caught up with me on this project without actually having to do all the hard work. Actually how can I really call this hard work when it is such a lovely piece to stitch and I am enjoying it immensely. Why bother to stitch anything anyway if we are not having fun while doing it?
.
When I think of all the beautiful projects that are available to us, I am so very thankful to all those wonderful designers out there. I don't think that I could design any decent project to save my own life. It is just not in me, but I do love to stitch lovely designs and we all have plenty out there to choose from.
.
I will now proceed to work on area 5 which is part of my second assignment, skipping area 4 which will be in my third assignment together with area 6, so lots of catching up to do, but will get there eventually :-)

Thanks, Pat

It seems that I still have some power stitching to do in order to catch up with this project and also Hollyhock House for starters :-)

Yes, I remembered how beautiful the colors are in this one. I am totally in agreement with you Pierrette regarding designers. I do owe them my gratitude for all that I've ever stitched. Artistic enablers that they are. :)

Hi Pierrette,

It won't take you long to catch up!

Very pretty project!

I'm trying to decide if I want to take the new ANG Cyberworkshop... I love log cabins and it looks beautiful in the magazine. :-)

Hi Madonna,

I just love the colors on this project. Whenever I walk in or out of the room I just need to give it a glance. There is a lot of sparkling threads used in this piece and the silk threads are just so beautiful and vibrant too.

Yes, what would we do without all those designers? I would be bored to death :-(

I love the colours and how pretty this is looking with just the little section so far and the sparkles are showing up really well.

I am so pleased that you are working on this again as I know how excited you were when you first started it. I also know that when you work again on your HHH it will fly along and I look forward to seeing the next stage of that as well.

I have not stitched properly the past few days as we have been rather hot and sticky here in the uk but the weather has broken and now its just right for starting off again

looking forward to seeing the next stage of this pretty project

Cynthia,

It seems like it is going to take me longer than I thought it might to catch up. All this thread laying takes forever but I will get there in the end :-)

Always difficult to decide whether to add another project to our already big pile of projects.

Hi Terry,

I was thinking about those last 3 projects that I have been working on and they are so very different one from the other but I love them all.

I also need to work other techniques as I seem to have been doing a lot of needlepoint recently to the exclusion of others. I need to learn to balance things a bit better.
