Miniature garden gate: Gay Ann Rogers, designer

I woke up very early this morning, around 3 and could not fall back asleep, so got up a little before 4 and got busy with all kind of things and of course ended up rather tired so I decided to work on a little project, something that I could hold in my hands and that would work rather quickly, so thought of this little kit I had purchased from Gay Ann Rogers and "voilà un autre projet de complété" another project completed, quite easy, quick and fun to do.
.
I have another little miniature kit from Gay Ann, a little Georgian house. Will keep it for another day when I don't have enough energy to tackle a BIG project :-)
.
It is always a good feeling to have been able to complete a project and this one only took a few hours.

This is a real cutie design and I could see this expanded into a larger little picture

How's the shading in the background done? Is it printed on the canvas already? Or did you have to paint it yourself?

Elisabeth,

That was a bit of acrylic paint that had been applied on parts of the canvas, but not by me.

Sweet design. I love little projects with a statement. Well done.
Thanks for visiting my blog and leaving nice comments about the puzzle pieces. :-)

Pat,

As I said on your blog, I think that the puzzle pieces CQ are such a neat concept. Wondering how it would look if someone was going to actually make a whole project, not individual pieces but all tied together like a puzzle. Not practical for an exchange but might be quite interesting if you are making a little wall quilt for example.

Just thinking outloud here.

Pat from NC,

You have actually given me the idea of stitching a few small pieces with all the lovely little projects you have been stitching lately :-)

At times you really need a break away from those big projects.
