Here's My Heart Scissors Sheath

I had purchased that kit a while back from Vintage Vogue and decided it was time for me to tackle this project.

I must say that the instruction pages that come with this kit are extremely well done with plenty of photos. I was really impressed. Janet Stauffacher really makes it easy for us to make this project and I enjoyed myself.

This kit came with a little pair of French scissors which will be great to have around. You can never have too many pairs of scissors.

I have included a photo (above) that shows the little scissors attached to its sheath through a beaded loop and here below when the scissors are tucked in the sheath.

The three-bead edge that goes around the sheath can also be seen here though Janet explains it very nicely in her instructions.

It is now time for me to think of another project as I don't feel quite ready to go back to my needlepoint. One morning I will get up and feel like doing only needlepoint and will then continue on my already started needlepoint projects, plenty to choose from :-)

Very pretty! Ribbon work can be so satisying as it's so quick!!=) And you're right about never having too many pairs of scissors. It's like not being able to have too much refrigerator space, or workbox space, huh?

Tee-hee! No, you wouldn't see a real connection between a thread painting book and one on Korean language (other than that they were both books!!), I was just messing around!!!!!!!!!=) I dunno how hard either language is, that or Vietnamese, but there should be some linguistic familiarity with both - Korean from Japanese (they're related somewhat) and Vietnamese from Mandarin, although not a big help like Italian and French, for instance.

We're not planning to visit there at the mo, but I do keep meeting students here from those countries, so I'd like to learn to speak their languages too.=)

This piece is beautiful. I really like the use of beads, both in the piece and on the edge.

I must confess that for the longest time, I have stayed away from most beading, but have recently changed my mind and actually love the process quite a bit.

I have a few EGA GCCs about beading which I will work on as soon as I can find some time. Thos projects are all beading and nothing else, which will be a first for me.
