Bingo Clear Purple Pansy: Needle Painting Technique

This was my first attempt at a needle painting technique. I have stitched this a little while back and it took me some time to have it framed as we could not find any mats that would have the same colors as the pansy itself. Our framer at "Romancing the Frame" suggested that we find some fabric of the right color and she would cover the two mats with it.

The colors of the photo are not quite what they are in actuality, but I tried to bring them as close to them as I possibly could.

This is a Tanja Berlin design at http://www.berlinembroidery.com/

Wow, you've been busy since I last had chance to visit your blog! I love this one in particular and you and your framer have done a wonderful job in finishing this one. I love thread painting, although it's hard and requires a fair amount of time, concentration and patience. My mistake was starting with FAR too large a project that was all in browns and greys. Will finish it one day soon, I hope!

Well worth the wait to see it framed you have chosed a perfect way with the mount picking up the colours perfectly.

Beautifully stitched, I really must get around to doing my pansy some day

Those colors are a bit unusual for me as I tend to go with earth colors, but after the initial shock (colors), I like it :-)
