Goals about this blog and my other blogs

Hi everyone!

A bit of information about what is going on with my blogs.

Love to Stitch was my very first blog. It was made private until today. I have reopened it after removing some of my private stuff from it, so that the information becomes available to you again.

When I made this blog private, I was rather exhausted and the last thing I wanted back then was to continue blogging. Many months later, after receiving many requests from some of you, I decided to start a new blog, which in my mind would be more of a photoblog, concentrating more on photos and giving at first only the basic information about each project. I had the idea of having one completed project per blog entry, making it easier to see a project from start to finish. This blog is called Pierrette's Stitching Gallery. I intend to keep that blog going and add completed projects. I still need to blog Anasazi Dream by Carole Lake.

A photoblog with one complete project per blog entry is a nice concept, but it also has its own limitation, so I recently started a new blog with Wordpress this time around. It is called My Stitching World. On this latest blog I just blog normally on anything that is related to my stitching world, but not on a daily basis, as my hectic life, at times, just does not permit me to do so, but whenever I have stitched enough on any particular project or have something special to show you, then I do so.

I think I have pretty much covered it. Hope I did. If not, questions are welcomed.

Happy weekend and Happy Easter!

Twilight angel, framed: Gay Ann Rogers, designer

This was a gift to my friend Terry who lives in England. I mailed it to her with frame and she had it framed herself. This way it limits the risk of receiving it damaged.

Mallard Duck Collage - All is done except the mallard duck box itself

For some reason, taking a proper photo this time around has been difficult - the colors are not true to form.

Mallard Duck Collage by Laura J. Perin

Starting with the beginning of 2010, Terry and I will be stiching this lovely project together.
I have just placed my order with my little shop and as soon as I receive the supplies I will be able to start on this. We will follow this project with Pacific Coast Collage, but will only order the supplies a bit later when I am about half way through this current project.
Official starting date unknown at this moment.

Fountain pen in its box

Just added a few photos of the fountain pen all tucked up in its pen box. Not great photos. It seems that this is one of those projects that do not photograph well. At least that gives you some idea.
Roland is quite happy to finally have it :-)

Fountain pen

Well, here is a photo of the finished fountain pen. Will try to take a better one when it is inside the box. It is not perfect, far from it but I am so darn fed up with it that it will have to do.

Fountain pen

Mine so far above and SharonG below.

This is what I have done on it so far. Remains too add something on the top part of the pen like Roland's initials and to do the background.

The Morning After: Finishing done

Two photos showing the front and back of my stand-up frame.

Will do the same exact kind of finishing for The Night Before :-)

The Morning After: Beginning of finishing

Well, you can see the front part ready to be attached to the back part, which is a kind of velvet that is very soft and changes colors depending on the lighting - it looks dark here but really is not that dark at all. I still need to work on putting fabric on the stand piece and then attach all together with a little ribbon to control the amount of length the stand will open up while standing and of course cording all around, so a bit more work to do.
